LeRoy Bourbon founded Bourbon Trucking in January 1997 with a single truck and a set of trailers. He grew the business to eight trucks and then invited his son Eric to join him as a partner in July 2005. They grew the business to 19 trucks and a full service parts and repair division. LeRoy retired in 2014. Eric continues to grow the Bourbon family of companies. He is dedicated to meeting customer needs and delivering the highest quality products and services available.

2008 Tornado
On May 29, 2008, an F3 tornado ripped through Jewell County and leveled Bourbon's facilities. The Bourbons started over and re-built their entire shop -- a testament to the company's dedication to their customers and their business.
Patriotic Employer Award
The National Committee for Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve (ESGR) awarded Bourbon Trucking its "Above and Beyond Award" in 2011, which recognizes employers at the state and local level who have gone above and beyond the legal requirements for granting leave and providing support for military duty by their employees. They also received the "Patriotic Employer" for being supportive managers and showing appreciation of their military-member employees.
