Bourbon understands that everyone has different needs from their groundload trailer. From the outset, the focus was on designing a trailer that could be fully customized to work for you.
Bourbon groundload trailers come standard with full swing gates on the trailer interior. Instead of full gates, you can upgrade to the following gate styles:
50/50 Swing Gate - 50/50 swinging door built inside a full swinging gate. The 50/50 door can be positioned on the driver or passenger side and has its own slam latch. It opens toward the rear of the trailer. The full gate still swings through both directions with the 50/50 gate inside. This gate can be interchanged with other full gate designs.
Chute Gate - Sliding chute gate built inside a full swinging gate. The chute can be positioned on the driver or passenger side and opens smoothly with the use of roller bearings. The full gate still swings through both directions with the chute gate inside. This gate can be interchanged with other full gate designs.
60/40 Fixed Gate - 60% of the gate has a swinging door with a slam latch, and 40% is a fixed wall and does not swing. This gate creates the safety triangle for operators to stay behind when loading livestock, but it is not interchangable with full swing gates.
You choose where you want your gates positioned in the trailer, as well as the hinge placement, to fully customize the trailer to meet your needs.
An optional chute alley can be added between the rear sliding chute gate and the first interior gate at the top of the ramp to easily guide the livestock into the trailer and up the ramp. The chute alley folds out from the rear gate and connects to the 50/50 swing door at the top of the ramp (upgrade required). The chute alley folds neatly behind the rear gate for easy stowing so that full access to the lower deck is available for use.
Corashield Anti-Chip Coating prevents chipping, cracking, and marring of painted surfaces. The Corashield upgrade can be applied to the underside of your groundload trailer to provide additional protection against gravel and flying debris. In addition, the Corashield will be applied to the lower 18" of the interior trailer walls to protect against damage due to livestock kicking. After the trailer is sandblasted and the marine-quality primer is applied, Corashield anti-chip coating is applied, then finished with a top coat of Bourbon's high solids urethane paint.

The optional Rear Worklight Package allows you to illuminate a large working area behind the trailer if you're loading livestock in the dark. (2) 3x5 LED lights are mounted above the rear exterior gate. The lights can swivel up or down and produce 2000 lumens of light in a flood beam pattern for intense light right where it's needed.
